printed media is alive

I read an article today in Fortune that said print media is dying. Specifically, big news papers like the New York Times. Ok, you have to be a complete idiot to believe that big papers like the New York Times and other magazine publications are going to die because of the Internet.

I consume 90% of my news and information from various sources online, but I also enjoy reading the newspaper in print, and various magazines. It gives my eyes a rest from the computer screen, and it’s sometimes easier to just flip open a magazine rather than my laptop.

Print media will not die. Ever. Those who think so were probably in the same bucket who thought we’d buy all of our groceries online too. Remember Peapod, WebVan?

Nice post, I agree with you. Print will not dye but online readership will increase rapidly by the nest five years. Digitization becoms best tool for revenue generation to the publishers. There are some companies like http://www.pressmart.net helping the print publisher to deliver their publication through web, pod cast, blog, RSS, social media, etc… These are the new technologies using in print circulations.
