Bet on Nanosolar

November 29th, 2007 | by geo |

I have posted a few times about my enthusiasm for the alternative energy space, specifically solar energy, and I’ve noted several companies in the space, but nanosolar is one of the BIGGEST emerging stars.

Why Nanosolar?

  • 100X thinner cells - They have the cheapest production model - raw inputs are the lowest in the industry. They use a film rather than actual silicon.
  • 100x faster production - Global infrastructure in already in place for MASS production
  • PATENTS PATENTS PATENTS
  • Funded to the limits
  • Larry Page and Sergey Brin

Nanosolar has the capability to make solar power a reality. The market has formed and thanks to Japan and Germany for creating the framework the rest of the developing world will soon follow. Within the next few years nanosolar will provide solar power as an alternate to coal AT THE SAME PRICE. Yes, this is everyone’s goal who is in the new energy game, but these guys will win because they can produce it faster and cheaper, and they have the network to make it happen.

Dear Nanosolar, please go IPO ASAP. I really want to invest..but then read your note: “Nanosolar is presently not accepting new capital.” :(
